NEW WEB SITE

a lot less content than the old one.. but looks nice.. It would have been good practice for the CLAE to consult its users to determine their information needs from its web site rather than seek to impose them.

1) The News section (i.e. cases where the LGO has issued an MI report has significantly contracted). This is probably because of inconsistency in the LGO decision making.. This would make a very good subject for a petition.. getting all the LGO 'case law' on line.

2) There is a new minutes section..

a) The LGO's are worried about FoI;
b) The Ombudsmen are now having meetings of all Public Sector Ombudsmen where issues are being discussed outside formal reporting arangements;
c) The CLAE have developed procedures to deal with people who complain about their services;
d) The CLAE face challenging budget issues and appear to be introducing redundancies;
e) The CLAE are aware of significant corporate governance issues and are seeking to address these (i.e. relationship between CLAE and LGO);

Notice the way they have tried to minimise the local government connection

Local Government
OMBUDSMAN

Anyone would think they are ashamed of the connection. Ah, I just remembered they are. Didn't they once say that the only reason everybody thought they were crap was because of the local government connection. Self deluded idiots.

Just because everything is different doesn't mean anything has changed.

It seems to be evolving (populated with data) quite rapidly.. and is probably sitting at the heart of the CLAE intranet (and will be used byinvestigators).. this is why having the news section (case library) properly reinstated is important..
